For Ever, founder of Dos Hermanos, starting a business was about family. In 2015, motivated by his son’s health complications and the need for extra income, he began selling pupusas at local soccer matches. By 2018, his traditional recipes had become a community sensation.
To turn this passion into a sustainable future, Ever needed a larger kitchen space and guidance from El Pájaro CDC to overcome language barriers and obtain the required permits. With our Commercial Kitchen Incubator and support, he formalized his business, space to prep, navigated payroll as he grew, and accessed the capital and strategic markets needed for expansion.
Today, Dos Hermanos is a thriving family business. Alongside his wife, Minerva, and his brother Nelson, they now serve Farmers Markets and UCSC events, selling approximately 1,500 pupusas a week. Ever views every challenge as a vital lesson and has no regrets. With a solid foundation, his next business chapter is further expansion. His journey is a powerful reminder that when family values meet professional guidance, there is no limit to growth.
